The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the All India National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). The application period, from February 9th to March 16th, 2024, is now closed. The test will be administered on May 5 offline rather than online. Additionally, this year’s NEET UG 2024 exam syllabus has changed, and the National Medical Commission (NMC) has published the updated syllabus. Eligibility Code for NTA NEET 2024 UG

The NTA NEET 2024 UG eligibility codes outline the prerequisites for prospective applicants to sit for the test. 

  • Code 01 allows candidates awaiting their 12th standard exam results in 2024 to apply, but they must pass the qualifying exam with the required percentage during the first round of counseling to be eligible for MBBS or BDS admission. 
  • Code 02 pertains to candidates who completed 12 years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and Mathematics or an elective subject, including practical tests in these subjects and English. 
  • Code 03 covers candidates who completed the Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science with specified subjects, including English. 
  • Code 04 is for candidates who passed Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with specified subjects, including English. 
  • Code 05 applies to candidates who completed the first year of a three-year degree course with specified subjects and passed the earlier qualifying examination with specified subjects and English. 
  • Code 06 refers to candidates who passed the B.Sc. Examination with specified subjects and passed the earlier qualifying examination with specified subjects and English. 
  • Code 07 encompasses candidates who completed an equivalent examination with specified subjects, including practical tests and English.
